“Fall Break 2024 for the Greens & the Stricklands! What fun! We fished and kayaked and pushed each other in the lake! We saw all sorts of animal footprints and caught hundreds of tiny frogs. We laughed and played Guess Who a TON. Robin paddle boarded for the first time. Noah was in mud to his knees. Emerson rode the kayak by herself for the first time. Brooks caught his first fish. Eli caught more fish than he can count. Sam got snuggles and rode the kayak. Hudson spent endless hours on the kayaks and so did Charlie. Charlie and Noah lost a bet and had to jump into the freezing water. We love this place and will be back many more times.”
– Green & Strickland Families – Edmond, OK October 17, 2024“Our 5th trip to Blue Acres – We love coming to your wonderful ‘happy place.’ We came with Katie & family. It is so much fun watching them enjoy fishing! They even got me to try fishing again. I probably cast 20 times and no luck! That is okay! I kept my record of never catching a fish in my 76 years. We were at Hidden Pond where everyone was catching a lot of fish! Marc & I enjoyed walking around your lake and sitting outside & enjoying the beautiful sights & weather. Of course we enjoyed the bonfires at night. You have a great place. Thanks for sharing!”
– Carol & Marc October 14, 2024“What a treat to enjoy this beautiful, peaceful ‘haven’ & walk to fields owned by my family decades ago with our 94-year-old patriarch pointing out old corn, peanut & potato fields. The very spot where he was born in 1929, close to where his mother’s old rose bushes now grow wild to this day. We enjoyed sunny days for exploring old fishing holes & rainy days for telling stories of days long since past. Craig & Whitney, you have no idea how much it meant to us – you sharing your family’s Blue Haven home with ours. This has been a lifetime highlight & we are so grateful.”
– Hobbes Family May 13, 2024“We had the BEST girls trip! The four of us have been friends since childhood and now moving into our late 40s. We absolutely loved this place along with trips to Main Street, Ole Red, boutiques, restaurants, and Blue River! This gave us a restful place to rest and recharge before the upcoming school year. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us!”
– The Posse July 10–12, 2024“Our second visit to Blue! Love the relaxing & peaceful time we get here. Fun in the water & lots of walks. We had a family cookout the first night & made lots of memories. Played board games & caught lots of fish – some big bass at Rose Pond! Looking forward to coming back again & again!”
– White Family – Pauls Valley, OK June 11–15, 2022“7 Glorious days, 6 fantastic nights at Blue Acres. This was our 5th trip to Blue and it did not disappoint. The first two nights Nana, Papa & cousin Andrew joined us. Highlight was Nana & Papa holding hands and jumping into the pond. Andrew enjoyed swimming and fishing. The next 3 nights, the Vandy’s joined us. LOTS of fishing, hiking, swimming, movie watching and laughing. Highlight: Jace caught a 5.5 lb. bass in the big pond! Planning our next visit!”
– The Worsham Family – Tulsa, OK July 16–21, 2021“What an amazing place to reward ourselves after self-quarantining for 2 weeks so we can meet family and hug! A beautiful respite during COVID-19. We kayaked, canoed, fished nonstop, the grandgirls collected tiny frogs & minnows to study and let go. We sat around a great campfire. We were in our own little world in this happy place, lots of laughter and fun and food. Thank you Whitney & Craig for sharing your place with us to make wonderful memories we will never forget. We will be back!”
– Holdman Family – Austin, TX September 11–15, 2020“Thank you so much for opening your spectacular ranch to us – I only wished we had discovered it sooner. Fun was had by all! You seem to have thought of everything and we will definitely make plans to return and tell all of our friends. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and even nothing at all… Your hammock is my new happy place! Our family thanks you and wishes you and yours a wonderful summer and years of great times here ahead.”
June 10, 2020“What an awesome weekend getaway we had! Everything was just so wonderful. Our kids enjoyed so much time outside exploring. We all went fishing and caught several off the dock. It was so fun! We also loved walking around some of the trails and finding the other ponds on the property. The weather was amazing too. Blue Acres Ranch is such an incredible place to stay. You have thought of everything to make the stay nice. We enjoyed time here and would love to come back again. Thank you for everything.”
– The Gauger Family – Plano, TX October 15, 2019“What a wonderful weekend at Blue Acres celebrating our husband/dad/father-in-law’s 60th birthday! Everyone had fun paddling, floating, fishing and exploring! Saw two does at night, made s’mores and stargazed. Thank you so much for this home away from home. We loved every minute.”
